ILE AUX CERFS
The Stags Island, namely’, in French, ‘Île aux Cerfs’ is located off the east coast of Mauritius inside the coral barrier which surrounds Mauritius. ‘Île aux Cerfs’ is one of the most attractive places of the island. It is famous for its fine and white beaches of coralline origin which surrounds it. The name is due to the old presence of stags on the island. They are now found in closed pastures where they are hunted during the hunting season.
The embarkation
Arriving at the port of ‘Trou d’eau Douce’, a small fishing village, we will embark on the boats and will admire all along, the South East coast of Mauritius. Our hospitable team will accompany you with `Sega' song and folk dance of the island of Mauritius (animation with the musicians and dancers are provided only on pirates’ boat). Soft and alcohol drinks will be served on board. You will be fascinated all along the way by the contrast of crystalline water, which marries well with the tropical green of Mauritius.
The waterfalls of ‘Grande Rivière Sud Est’
The navigation towards ‘Île aux Cerfs’, is done in all safety and peace, inside the largest lagoon of Mauritius which is completely sheltered by the large coral barrier. Continuing our cruise, we will arrive at the impressive falls of ‘Grande Rivière Sud Est’. With adapted shuttles, we will explore the cove where we will be able to admire the wild vegetation which takes root on the banks.
Snorkelling and Lunch
After having visited the falls, we continue our boat trip, in the direction of the coral benches where will be given the snorkelling equipment, to swim in turquoise water in search of tropical fish…
We will be called back on board by a delicious smell, that of a succulent barbecue prepared by our team during the dives: A rice salad, chicken, fish (slice of Marlin), half lobster and finally the fruits of the season. During the excursion we will have an “Open Bar” service (unlimited drinks): Soft drinks, Water, Fruit juice, red wine, white wine and the traditional `local Rum'.

There you will be free to enjoy the island as you wish like for example to swim as along the dazzling beach in the quiet turquoise water lagoons.
At a fixed hour you will be notified of the departure time by our guide who will assist you for the return to the port of ‘Trou d’eau Douce’, from where our vehicle will take you back to the hotel..
The excursion includes:
